Mission Statement
Our
mission is to network and partner with other
business, faith-based, government, and non-profit organizations to
provide a
family service center where families can be connected with the
resources
needed to succeed in life, in employment, and in the parenting skills
to guide
their children to success.
Vision
Our vision is to assist in the development of a healthier community with a better quality of life for all, one family at a time, one child at a time.
Values and Guiding Principals
- Hospitality. We seek to
provide a welcoming
and non-judgmental environment with an atmosphere that is inviting and
welcoming to children and their families.
- Encouragement.
We will provide an atmosphere of
encouragement, where family members are able to explore ideas and
methods which
may not have occurred to them previously, or which they may have
considered
“beyond their reach.”
- Security
& Stability. The security and stability of children
and families are among our top priorities.
It is easier to work through preventative measures for
the healthy
development of children than to try to repair them once they become
adults. The
stability brought about by a secure family environment is essential for
children to have healthy growth and development.
- Cooperation.
We believe teamwork is essential among
businesses, faith-based, government, and non-profit organizations. This means building
functioning partnerships
with organizations which assist families to “navigate the
system,” to conquer
real and perceived barriers, and ultimately to become self-sufficient. Open and honest
communication between
partners is key to fostering true cooperation.
- Empowerment. We believe success happens when opportunity meets responsibility. We can feed a family a fish and meet an immediate need, but ultimately we must teach the family to fish to empower them to feed themselves for a lifetime.
